Portfolio Construction and Risk Management Update
This article gives an update on the Portfolio Construction and Risk Management book crowdfunding: https://igg.me/at/pcrm-book
First of all, I want to thank everyone who has contributed to the crowdfunding of the Portfolio Construction and Risk Management book1. I appreciate your contributions and will treat you as friends.
Remember that you can get a complimentary paid Substack subscription to this publication by contributing €100 or more, for example, by claiming one of the significant contributor perks (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum).
In the paid subscription, you will find exclusive instructional videos and case studies that use the investment framework from the book, once the book is finished.
Note that it is not certain that the book will eventually be made freely available, and the lowest access price will increase as the book nears completion. Hence, the lowest prices and the most benefits are given to early contributors.

Book status
I have just completed most of Chapter 4 on instrument pricing. Hence, the core parts of the book are now close to being finished, except for minor adjustments and additions that I receive as feedback from readers.
There remains four sections about generative machine learning, simulation evaluation, alternatives pricing, and tail risk hedging.
How much time and effort I can put into these sections is directly proportional to the amount of support that the book receives.
If you are currently a reader of the book and like its content, I encourage you to share your positive experience with your networks on social media. It will allow me to spend more time on the remaining sections and share deeper insights with you.
Top 10 contributor benefits
If you end up among the top 10 contributors once the book is finished, you will have a three month personal access to try out an institutional-grade implementation of the investment framework from the book. It will all run in the cloud and require no local installations on your side.
There are two parameters that determine if you end up in the top 10 or not:
The sum of your total contributions.
The date of your first contribution in case of ties.
If you want to compete for the top 10, I encourage you to not wait and make your initial contribution as early as possible. In this way, you can also assess if you want your name shared in the acknowledgements section, and if you are curious to see how all the methods work with an elegant interface.
As of November 26, 2024, the top 10 is as follows:
